Out and About Across the Region

The Growth Works Team have been out and about all over our region – networking and meeting as many of you as possible!
Growth Works were proud sponsors of the Peterborough Biscuit event.
This event displays the excellent business community that operates within a 55-mile radius of the city. We got to meet existing clients and hear how well they are now doing with their business and were super proud when some of them told us they were only able to exhibit due to getting a Growth Works revenue grant. We met lots of new faces too, and two members of our team even won the raffle!
We were incredibly proud of our new Growth Works stand! It even lights up (thanks to GH Display Ltd)! The event is founded by Sphere RHSM and organised by Peterborough Panda Marketing. Other sponsors included, Moore Thompson, Steven Eagell Group, Lexus Cambridge, CPCA Growth Hub, IT Naturally, CBS Group, Vibrant Colour, Allta and First Copy. Make sure to check out the Peterborough Biscuit website to get involved next year!
Next up was our own Inspire and Network Event at the Huntingdon Marriott hotel!
The aim was to get local businesses together and let them network and to share information on Growth Works funding and upcoming workshops.
We had fantastic guest speakers including Chris Dawes Director of NET LED Lighting, Mark Hulme, Director of Rennet & Rind and Mark Leech, Marketing Director at Brave Agency, to share their success stories and their incredibly positive experiences of working with Growth Works. The audience even had a chance to ask the entire panel of guest speakers their own questions and some really good discussion resulted!

We had a wonderful time at Anglia Ruskin University Peterborough Campus, where we attended the ‘Support for Businesses to Thrive and Survive in 2023’. The event featured a presentation from Chief Economist Kitty Usher and Growth Works also took to the stage to share information of the services we have to offer, including grants that fund up to 50% project costs, and how we can help businesses will their skills and talent development… It was great to see some familiar faces and meet new ones too.
Thank you to Philip Worrall for putting the event together.
Finally, we got to finish our busy week of events off with an awards ceremony! Not just any awards ceremony but cofinitive’s 21towatch!
21towatch aims to highlight and showcase twenty-one people who are ‘to be watched’ due to the innovation they are bringing to not only the region, but potentially the globe.
It was an honour to sponsor such an interesting and inspiring event, with innovations including biodegradable plastics, 3D molecule drugs, automated drones, gene editing therapy and so much more.
Thank you to Faye Holland and the rest of the cofinitive team for all that goes into this amazing event. Make sure to check out their website and please take some time to look at the incredible 21towatch list.
