
Rebecca Bekkenutte
Rebecca is the Managing Director for Inward Investment within the Growth Works Programme. She is responsible for leading a highly skilled and well-connected team to identify, attract and retain sustainable and high growth inward investment opportunities into the CPCA region from around the world. The Inward Investment Services is part of the integrated service that works closely with Skills and Growth Coaching in support of securing new investments into the region.
Rebecca has more than 20 years’ experience in International business; working across professional and financial services organisations, consulting firms and government departments. She has delivered inward investment as a managed service for public sector bodies as well as delivered international strategies on behalf of local and regional governments.
She spent most of her career helping companies navigate the complexities of entering new markets and has lived and worked in the US, UK, China and Australia. She spent several years working on an inward investment delivery programme on behalf of the Department for International Trade, led a 6-month business development initiative in California to identify VC backed, high-growth technology companies ready for international expansion and was on the management team of the Liverpool Pavilion at the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai focusing on business development and high growth initiatives.
Rebecca has experience in supporting numerous companies ranging from large corporates to SMEs and start-ups and has delivered more than £100M investment into the UK.
Rebecca has an MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology, an MA (with Distinction) in International Destination Management from London Metropolitan University and a BA in English and Journalism from Indiana University. She is PRINCE2 qualified.
