Will Richardson
Will is an IEMA fellow and Chartered Environmentalist. He pioneered and was an early adopter of many now-mandatory environmental standards and Will established Green Element in 2004. This a successful environmental management consultancy, with a desire to help as many businesses as possible go ‘green’.
In 2018, Will and Emma Littlewood created Compare Your Footprint in response to demand from companies that want to benchmark and reduce their carbon footprint using science based metrics. They now work with a wide range of businesses from SMEs to global corporates to help them reduce their carbon and demonstrate their leadership and transparency on the sustainability agenda to their staff, shareholders and communities.
Professional roles
- Runs a successful podcast for the past 4 years helping disseminate information on how organisations can reduce their footprint
- Set up a community called Sustainability Solved (.org) that builds on the mission that both Green Element and Compare Your Footprint are delivering.

- Fellow of Institute of Environmental Management of Assessment Chartered Environmentalist MSc: Environmental Management for Business, University of Hertfordshire
- Ba (Hons): Hotel Management with Tourism, Manchester Metropolitan University. The course included; International Business & Travel, Tourism Development, Tourism & Global Sustainability, International Services Marketing, Human Resource Management, Operations Strategy, and Operations Management.
